Why Choose Impact Windows?
Hurricane protection is just one of the advantages; impact glass does so much more for your home, family, and belongings.
Impact windows help provide year-round security against thieves and intruders, dramatically reduce outdoor noise, and filter out 99% of the UV light that enters your home and causes fading. When combined with insulating glass, you have energy-efficient windows that can significantly reduce cooling and heating costs. It’s continuous, 24/7 protection.
The main difference between hurricane windows manufacturers and companies are the options available, design style, and finish. For example, our options include Insulated Laminated Glass, Low E, Argon Gas, Vinyl Frame, and the new SentryGlass Plus Interlayer (SGP).
All the hurricane windows we install meet the most stringent code requirements for hurricane-force winds and flying debris. All brands that have passed Florida Building HVHZ codes and Miami-Dade requirements are tested in the same manner and will help protect you in the event of a storm.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are hurricane windows made?
Impact glass (also called laminated glass) is made by placing a piece of Polyvinyl Butral (PVB) between two panes of glass.
Impact glass is constructed of glass similar to the safety glass used in car windshields. In the case of impact, the glass will still break; however, it is held in place by the PVB and stops the objects from penetrating. This construction is extremely difficult to break through and keeps your home closed and safe in the case of a hurricane.
All of our suppliers use Cardinal Glass due to their dependability and proven effectiveness. Even PGT uses up to 25% of their glass from Cardinal (with the rest being produced in house).
