Vinyl Impact Windows Without Compromise

What You Get with ES Vinyl Hurricane Impact Windows with uPVC

ES Windows’ uPVC Vinyl Hurricane Window options have the same stronger heat-strengthened glass that the ES Elite line ships with. ES vinyl impact windows (which used to be slightly weaker than aluminum frame impact windows) have comparable strength to standard aluminum frame hurricane windows from other manufacturers with pressure ratings of +60/-60 for single-hung, horizontal rollers, and even higher on fixed glass windows.

This strength increase comes from ES uPVC Windows’ heat-strengthened glass and partial vinyl construction. ES Vinyl Windows are aluminum frame windows wrapped with a layer of vinyl, offering the same temperature insulation properties as vinyl while leveraging the greater strength of aluminum frames.

More options, strength, and cost efficiency

Tempered Insulated Glass, Low-E Coating, and a Lifetime Warranty

ES Vinyl Impact Windows come with tempered insulated glass and a Low-E coating, offering even greater energy efficiency capabilities. For just 5% more, you can add argon gas insulation.

ES Windows also offers a lifetime warranty as long as the same owner is in the house. This warranty only applies to residential purchases, not commercial purchases.

ES Vinyl Impact Windows (uPVC) are a fantastic option for Floridians who live within 3 miles of the coast, as vinyl impact windows are much less likely to corrode with saltwater exposure.

ES uPVC Windows Pricing

Single-Hung and Horizontal Roller Vinyl Impact Windows (ES uPVC)

Introductory pricing on the single-hung and horizontal roller hurricane windows will be roughly 5% more than the ES Elite line with no Low-E added. But, with ES Vinyl Imapact Windows, you’ll be getting Low-E and Tempered Insulated Glass, with the option to add Argon Gas Insulation for only 5% more.

This offering is one of the best changes we’ve seen made to Vinyl hurricane windows in over a decade, and there’s simply never been a better time to buy energy-efficient, strong hurricane-impact windows than right now.

Fixed Vinyl Impact Windows (ES uPVC)

Because of the design and manufacturing process behind fixed vinyl impact windows and their superior strength compared to the rest of the ES uPVC vinyl window line, they are a bit more expensive—25-30% more than aluminum frame ES Elite Windows. However, with ES Vinyl Windows, Low-E is included, and you still get the benefits of the stronger heat-strengthened glass with a tempered insulated glass pane. We recommend that customers who don’t need fixed glass windows avoid using them where possible.

ES Windows’ Fixed uPVC Vinyl Hurricane Windows have a higher design load of +80/-80 PSF, making them one of the strongest vinyl hurricane windows on the market today.

Vinyl Sliding Glass Doors and French Doors (ES uPVC)

ES Windows has not yet released pricing on uPVC vinyl doors, although we have some speculation on what pricing could look like and when we expect ES to release more information about their vinyl door offerings.

Sliding glass doors will likely be around 15-20% more than the ES Elite line is currently. But this is just pure speculation. We expect to know more specifics on Vinyl Hurricane Door pricing sometime in Q3 of 2024.

With ES uPVC, Vinyl Hurricane Windows are Finally Worth The Investment

Vinyl Hurricane Windows are the holy grail of energy-efficient impact windows. In the past, most manufacturers offered them at a 30-40% premium, making them far more inaccessible for the average homeowner.

For nearly a decade, we used to tell our customers that Vinyl Impact Windows wasn’t worth the additional money in South Florida. It didn’t make sense before the new pricing and window changes; the energy efficiency benefits were less easily seen in South Florida’s warmer climate. Most benefits were seen in northern, more frigid climates where heat transfer from the interior is more pronounced, and due to the much higher price, it wasn’t even expected that the energy efficiency savings would pay for the hurricane window throughout its lifetime.

All of these statements were made when they were being sold at a 30-40% premium. Thanks to a new line of vinyl windows by ES Windows, you can get vinyl impact windows for as low as the same price as ES Elite Windows with Low-E.

ES Vinyl Window Frame Colors & Finishes

ES Window’s uPVC line offers various colors and finishes to accommodate almost any home style and homeowner’s taste. You can even add a separate finish color on the outside of your home to comply with homeowners association requirements and pick a color of your choosing on the interior of your home to better match your interior paint color.

Custom colors & laminate foils include:

  • White (Standard)
  • Anthracite Grey Smooth 2
  • Black Smooth 2
  • Ceylon Smooth
  • Flemish Gold Smooth
  • Golden Oak
  • Trompet Smooth

Hardware Colors include:

Are ES Vinyl Impact Windows Right For You?

If you’re looking for the strongest hurricane window possible, the ES Elite line, which has a reinforced aluminum frame and heat-strength glass, is likely the strongest impact window on the market.

If you’re looking for an impact window with the best energy efficiency on the market while still providing virtually the same protection as a standard impact window, ES Vinyl Hurricane Windows with uPVC are currently the best option.

At the end of the day, you’re getting an excellent impact window with either option. Even with the comparably weaker ES Vinyl Hurricane windows with uPVC, they have the same pressure ratings of standard hurricane windows with other manufacturers such as CGI and PGT. ES Windows has released a window that made vinyl windows possible without compromise. ES uPVC Vinyl Windows are as strong as their competitor’s aluminum frame windows and not much more expensive.
